What is a Donor Advised Fund?

Also known as a Named Fund, Donor Advised Funds are an easy and accessible way to provide a durable and growing gift to our community.

When you set up a Donor Advised Fund with us,
we take care of the administration and compliance. 

A Donor Advised fund is a great way to involve yourself in community, or a whole organisation for a meaningful and fulfilling giving experience.

You can also donate into your fund at any time.To get your balance growing quickly, you can also invite others to contribute. All named funds are eligible to fundraise in accordance with our fundraising guidelines, and funds can be distributed to the charitable organisations and causes of your choosing at any time. 

Named Funds allow donors to:
  • Be supported by community expertisein their giving.
  • Advise on the cause areas on particular not-for-profit organisations and community groups they would like to support.
  • Receive an immediate tax deduction upon contributing.
  • Create a giving structure that is simpler and more cost-effective than setting up a private foundation.
  • Give their fund a unique identity by naming it after a family member, employee or organisation.
  • Make an initial contribution of (X) and commit to ongoing contributions.
  • Track all tax receipts, donations and grants in one secure online portal.
  • Invest in a fund that wll grow over time, in perpetuity.
